Hi,

I have recently bought a suzuki swift. it came with a cobra alarm and central locking installed but i dont have any remotes for it. I have looked into getting a replacement remote from cobra but it seems it would cost around the same price to get a new system installed! :(

Is there any other way to somehow get a remote to work with the alarm/central locking? such as finding out the sequence to activate the alarms code learning?

If anyone could help i would be very happy.

Cheers!

Luke

Thanks mate,

(i assume by 'change it out' you mean install a new alarm system????)

Yeah i have a feeling that is the case. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know. Even if it just to get central locking remote and forget about the alarm. There must be a way...surely!

Thanks

Luke

How could a transmitter cost as much as a new unit?  Who did you talk too, the manufacture?

https://www.remotesunlimited.com/  Take a walk on the internet

Get all the part #'s off the unit, any number that looks important.....actually get em ALL

Yeah i did speak to the manufacturer. and of course they pile on a hundred and one different expenses that are "apparently" neccesary to get a new remote. But, like yourself, i fail to believe there isnt some way of getting the thing to work.

Thanks for the link. i will check that out for sure. Remotes Unlimited is American though and im in Australia. do you think that would be an issue?
