Ok, here is the deal,

I have a 95 ford explorer XLT, i am planning on installing a Python 1500ESP with remote start.

My questions:

is it possable to retain the OEM keypad disarm/unlock feature? (if so how?)

all the diagrams i have seen donot include a trunk trigger or hood trigger (i know they are there, but not sure what color the wires will be around the steering coloum

thanks for any info

I don't believe your OEM keypad if affected in anyway. But why would you go back to using your keypad when you got the keyless entry working on the remote? With one push of the unlock bottom your doors will unlock.

i like being able to get into my car without going to get the keys.

but i might just have to get use to using the remote all the time ( i use the OEM remote often but somtimes its nice to just walk to the car and get somthing without needing the keys...

but i think using the OEM keypad will allow thieves an easy way to disarm my alarm as well

thanks for the link
