DEI tech says negative trigger parking lites, WHITE/ brown at switch or cluster, gray 26p plug, pin 3 Parking lights are negative trigger thru an 1,670 ohm resistor. There is a rest resistance on the wire, so must use a relay to isolate from the switch.

doesnt say anything specific about the autolamps, so i dont know. you can try calling audiovox tech if you want , check your private message

My shop has only done a couple 300c. I didn't do any of them personally, but I remember one customer complaining her autolamps didn't go on when remote started at night. I believe the parking light wire was was isolated with a relay with the resistor DEI specified. We never were able to figure out why.

so whats the deal then? once you remote start the vehicle you have to shut it down and then restart it with the key to get the auto lites to come back on?

well i didnt get to the bottom of it cause i had to send it to the interior shop to get some stuff done.

what im thinking is im gonna try Not hooking the Parking lights up and see if they will work auto, If they do then start playing and seeing what i can come up with.

It really wont matter if i do hook up the Prk Lights cause it is a 2 way system.

The customer says he doesnt want the rem start if the auto lamps wont work, so  ill keep you updated

I would refuse the job. If he expects you to install the system and then remove it if the autolamps don't work, then he is the type of customer that will complain about anything and everything. Is he that lazy to turn on the lights once he gets in the car?

I don't know if the autolamps work once you get in the car. I have just seen it when you remote start the car at night and the autolamps don't turn on. Personally, I wouldn't want my headlights turning on when I remote started my car.

Im sorry i wont refuse my customer, then he thinks that im not the person he should be going to for his work.

when i get the car back from the interior shop ill see about the lights, ill try it without hooking up any lights, then ill try with +12 to a bulb and see what works, there has to be a way this works.

posted_imageIf the vehicle has auto lamps on it, you don't need to hook up the parking light output from the RS. The headlights will auto turn on and furing the day as long as the remote control says that it's ON, then it shouldn't matter if he sees the lights on or not. That's my opinion on this

hmmm i just seen this today on someones tech.

***** Parklights are multiplexed. WHITE/ Brown at switch.
Ground (-) through a 2000 Ohm resistor to activate the Parklights.
Note: The "Auto" feature of the Light switch, is unaffected by this value.
