So I went to exchange the module of my Prostart CT-3300 today. Simply unplugged the old one and went to Canadian Tire to get a new one.

Plugged the unit in as before (3 harnesses + antenna lead). When I plugged in the main power harness, the park lights flashed twice (normal) and the LED on the side of the module flashed - and then went "off".

I go to flash the hood pin to begin programming the unit - - NOTHING! I check fuses, all seems fine. Disconnect and reconnect power again, lights flash again.... still nothing on the hood pin.

Now, all was working great on the old unit (except for a faulty trunk trigger lead), so I know all the wires are properly attached. So what gives??? Did I get another faulty module, or did I miss something very basic in the start-up procedures.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Well, with lots of help from a member of this board, I got it fixed. Turned out that the hood pin was not grounding - - go figure.

Wired everything back up and everything (including the trunk release) works GREAT!
