I installed a CM3000 system in a 03 Dakota with no power locks or factory alarm. Very basic truck. The starter works fine but the alarm is having issues.

When I press the arm button on the remote, the lights flash and horn like normal and the status light blinking. After about 30 seconds, the unit disarms itself and the remote beeps 3 times (and shows parks lights flashing and the unlock symbol blinking). After another few seconds, the remotes "sings" with beeping tones going up and coming back down. The entire time the parks lights are flashing.

I can't find anything from compustar's website to help me with this.

Please HELP!

Look at the remote control (I am assuming you have a 2way unit). If there is a bar underneath the auto display icon in the top right corner of the remote, then the alarm brain is sensing that the keys are within "X" number of feet and disarms itself, when the keys are far enough away form the vehicle is automatically arms itself. I find this mode highly annoying myself and turn it off by pressing and holding button 1 on the remote unit it beeps.
