could the factory arm(lock) / factory disarm(unlock) wires be used to trigger my door locks? b/c the door locks/unlock wires arent currently working on my ultra start 4255 for some reason. seems the wires(factory) should be able to trigger the relays/locks, right?

No you wouldn't want that. There are seperate door lock outputs on that unit that you would use to control the locks. Depending on what vehicle and type of locks, you may need relays. There are only negative lock outputs on that unit.

If the lock outputs don't work, then you need a new unit if you want the locks to work. If that is the problem.

Did you put fuses on the relays if so are they good. Also how did you hook the relays.

lock outputs do not work. so i was gonna try the factory arm/re-arm wires. there is an inline fuse to all relays-its fine. hook'd them up according to the diagram for my(+) lock type. just got the unit few days so a replacement is possibly. if not- than i'll try those wires and believe it should work.
