I've searched and searched, so hopefull this question hasn't been answered before. I hooked up a 530T to my 791XV over the weekend, and for the most part it is working. However, I'm experiencing some problems with the roll-up-on-arm system. Rolling down works perfectly, and I have it connected to channel 4 to avoid the 1.5/4.5sec delay annoyance.

First, how its connected. The roll-up wire (orange) is connected to the 791XV via the (heavier guage) Ground-When-Armed wire. This wire is ALWAYS ground when the system is armed.

The symptoms: if I roll down the windows via the transmitter, they won't roll back up if I (re)-arm it. This might not be wrong, it might be the way it works. I also have experienced it intermittently just not rolling up at all. I was having a problem with the driver side not rolling up, but I think that went away. I do have the resistance set to high, as this is a Dodge Durango.

I think the problem is that the wire is always at ground with it armed, and the 530t either gets confused or just thinks everything is fine. Is there a better wire? Ideally a wire that is PULSED when the system is armed, but then floats open, not at ground?

Again, I apologize for the weak question, I just have pored over the docs and can't find a better wire.

Where is the module grounded at??? And window up needs to be hooked up to the orange ground when armed wire and you need to make sure that there is a diode isolating it from the starter kill relay.

don't use the heavy one use the orange from the main wires, or use the ORANGE / black from the rainbow wires an diode isolated.

The module is grounded to the same point as the 791XV actually, a body bolt (also a factory ground point). The window up IS connected to the orange ground when armed wire, but I think thats the problem. I don't have a diode in there, but I don't have a starter kill relay other than the one that is part of the relay satellite. Also, the orange wire I am using is not connected to a starter kill relay. Before I used it, it wasn't connected at all.

I have been searching for the mythical ORANGE / black wire since I read the docs. The only one I have is the one going to the relay satellite.

Keep in mind I'm not using the orange "heavy gauge" one that is + output to accessory. Just the H1/1 (-) 500ma Armed Output. I just don't think it makes the 530t operate correctly. I want a pulse when its armed, not a constant hold to ground.

Now I've tried the ORANGE / black wire that is part of the rainbow ribbon to the relay satellite. I tried with a diode, and without, and neither gives me a ground that activates the window roll-up at all.

The wire I'm currently using (H1/1) ground-when-armed works sometimes, sometimes not at all, and sometimes only rolls the window up an inch or so. I am starting to suspect that it is not giving a clean ground, and I will probably hook up a relay tomorrow. The window module rolls the windows up and down perfectly with 1-touch, so I don't think it is a resistance problem.

Expert input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you can tried to move the settings in the 530t. first you can put the orange wire fron the 530t to ground to see if works properly, if it work you have to use a relay to boost you ground.if it doesn't you have toplay with it settings.

Arrgh! I forgot to mention it works perfectly if I touch orange to a good ground.

I ran into the same issue with my dodge truck. Diode Isolate the orange wire. Place a diode 1N4002 or simialr, (can be purchased at radio shack) inline with the orange wire. Be sure that the stripe on the diode is facing the brain. This will fix your issue. Trust me I went crazy on this untill Gus1 gave me the hint on using a diode!
