I am installing an alarm for my 2002 honda civic LX (4 door). Please show me where I can find the wiring data for the car? Or if any body happens to have one, please help.

Thank you.

Hi Superman,

From the info you gave, I just could not find the wires for Power Lock (WHITE/ blue) and Unlock (WHITE/ green) any where. Though I found WHITE/ blue silver and WHITE/ green silver. Any thought?

Thanks.

Those two wires are probably the ones you need.  Check for continuity to ground or a drop in voltage when the lock switch is operated.

Vuato ,

Under the drivers kick panel ( under steering wheel , then to the left, where the green plaug is for the factory alarm) you will find a gray plug with about 17 wires. On that grey plug look for a White blue wire and a White green wire... theese will be your power lock and unlock .. The dome lights come on automaticlly when you unlock the door locks. You do not need a relay for the door locks if you are using DEI alarm with a negative output.Well most alarms have a negative output for the door locks. If you have anymore questions or problems finding the plug wmail me (superman121880@aol.com) and i will try to take  picture's of a 2002 honda civic for you. Good luck.

Hi Superman,

I followed your instructions and found the gray plug right next to the cruise control unit. Right beneath the gray plug is a smaller 13-pin white plug. All the wires coming out of the driver's door will split into these two plugs.

I found the WHITE/ Blue and WHITE/ Green (both with silver dots) but they have live 12V potentials on them at all times.

1. I thought one wire is for the 12V supply to the relays and one is for the windows.

2. When I probe those two wires for resistance, it show open and nothing happens.

3. Because of the 12V live, I don't feel safe to hook them to the negative pulse outputs of the alarm.

In addition, I found a wire Yellow/Red with silver. this wire carries 12V when not locked and 0V when locked. When I probe for resistance, it shows zero Ohm and will lock the door. I hook this wire to the alarm and it works. Comon sense tells me that the door unlock wire has to be nearby. Unfortunately, I could not locate it. The rest of the wires show zero volt, some are grounded and some are open. I tried to hook up the door unlock output of the alarm (Commando 501-S) to each of the wires (Except WHITE/ Blue and WHITE/ Green with silver dots) and activated/deactivated the alarm but nothing happened.

Any thoughts will be appreciated. I will probably hook the alarms outputs to those two wires using diodes to make sure that it will not harm the alarm.

If you have the picture, please show me.

Again, thank you very much.

Thank you superman, I finally completed the installation with your wiring information.

1. I probed the WHITE/ Blue and WHITE/ Green with silver spots when pulling the switch to lock and unlock and they did go to zero volt.

2. Probing the alarm outputs, they showed infinite resistance. So I just went ahead to hook up the wires and they worked perfectly.

Again, thanks a lot (to Chris too).
