When I bought my used 1998 gmc sierra pickup, the alarm/remote start was already installed. I do not know much about it. I would like to know if I can get another remote for a spare. The only information that I have is the numbers on the back of my remote.

What brand is it?  Can you get the model number off the brain?  Those two things will go a long way in answering your question.
