upon installing the remote starter, i disabled the vats system using standard resistors.then using the gm-dt-1000 interface security module,{which lists every car except the century in it's program guide}, i proceeded to try every possible combination of dip switch settings to get the interface to learn .....no luck.......i've been told by autostart, that the old gm-dtc 350 will still work on this car.
has anyone ever had succes withn the autostart dtc-100 on a century ??? and if so, what did it take ??
thanks in advance......stan....

Stan,
Why would you want to use the GM-DT 1000 for this car when all that you need is a single relay and the correct resistor to make it work. You don't need any fancy GM-DT 1000 interface to bypass the VATS security system. Meter the resistance on the key. Anyways, follow the instruction here.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

this car has vats... and.... passlock........the vats system has been taken care of...........the passlock system is what will not respond to the dt-1000.........
the century is unique........this system appears on no other model gm product. . . .
thanks for your response.........i'll post when i find the answer.....

Must be a 1 & only Century
VATS is all I have put on...but who knows about Canadian Buicks
OMEGA makes a Combo unit IB-PL2004 or I use the AU-VATS
