I am installing a remote starter for a Toyota Camry 2003. Everything works just fine, I can only remote start the vehicle with the factory alarm in disarm mode. But when I lock the door with the key fob/arm, It wouldn't let me remote start the vehicle. Can someone help me to disarm while remote start the car with the doors lock.
I have tried to connect an output (-) pulse from the remote starter to a key sense wire (blue, from ignition harness), but this does not disarm the factory alarm. I have also used a bypass module in conjunction with the key sense wire.
Thanks

What you need to do is look for a function on your remote starter that will do the following.
Unlock the doors, on your particular car the factory alarm will disarm with unlock. It will then Start the car. Once the car starts running, 3 seconds later it will then locks and arm the car up.
It sometime has a fancy term like SMART START, SMART LOCK, SECURE LOCK...Anyways, the term just does the function I mention above. If you can't find it, just tell us the model of remote starter you are using. I am sure someone here can help program that function.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

i'm having the same problem with a sequoia that also disarms the factory alarm with unlock. A few other guys have suggested the blue or blue/white wire which provides a status (-) output during remote start. i have a clifford matrix rsx 3.5.
