Im installing a viper on a 2004 maxima, i want to run two wires(aux and lock ) to the lock wire in the switch. Do I need to diode isolate the wires?

No you don't need one, but you can use them. Let me guess, your windows roll up or down with an extended pulse on the lock wires?

Yes they do roll up and down with extended pulses. Is there any advantage in putting a diode in so the other wire from the alarm doesnt interfere with the wire giving the ground.

Use your Aux4 and Aux5 tied into the lock wires to do your windows..... works well.

You can tie the wires together inside the car so you will just have to run 2 wires instead of 4 to the switch. Diodes not needed.

Doesnt the viper send a postive pulse to the unlock wire when the lock wire gets a negative? Would a diode stop the postive pulse from getting to the unlock wire?

I wouldn't worry too much. Viper stuff is fairly isolated.
The doorlocks on your car are negative, probably rest positive. A positive pulse on the other wire won't bother anything.

well i installed diodes and now the locks work intermitently, should i use relays or get rid of the diodes? also can aI use the crankshaft signal for the tach?
