Hey,
My remote start has two YELLOW wires (igition). One is a 12 gauge 12v+ OUTPUT wire connected to one of 4 relays in a block of relays that came with the alarm, and the other is also yellow, but on a different connector, but it is ignition INPUT. Here is the word-for-word description of both:
6-Pin Starter Harness
Pin 5 YELLOW: Ignition Output (+). Connect to the main ignition wire that provides +12V when the ignition
is on and while cranking the starter.
16-pin main harness
Pin 6 YELLOW : +12V Ignition Input. The Yellow wire must connect to a main ignition wire at the ignition
harness. This wire must show +12V when the ignition is on and while cranking the starter. The voltage
must not drop when the car is starting.
Do i just connect these wires together and to my ignition wire?

also this alarm system has 3 power inputs: 2 supply power to the block of 4 relays, and 1 supplies power to the brain. The manual highly recommends not to, but could i chain them together and just tie them to one power wire? I dont know of any other separate power wires under my dash. I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Diamante ES, by the way. Thanks!

what brand of unit are you using????

Yes, connect both the Ignition 1 relay output and the +12V Ignition Input to the
Ignition BLACK/ white (+) steering column
You don't need the BROWN 2nd ignition output. That is for other vehicles that sometimes have 2 or 3 Ignition wires that need to be energized during remote start.
Just tape the output for Ignition 2 off and do not use.

Yes, you can tie the 3 power wires to the
12volts red (+) steering column
This link will show you all the wire colors and locations for your vehicle.
