hey what s up guys i was wondering if the 4300 unit could be hooked up to either positive or negative doorlock system without using relay to reverse polarity

for ex: hondas are negative system and u will just hook the lock/unlock wires direct to the car

but on other vehicle s like a ford with a positive doorlock system would you need to reverse the polarity  or do the dei avital 4300 unit have onboard relays where i would just do the same as i would do the hondas just tie it straight into the car wires with out using relays to reverse polarity

well i was just curious to know but i am working on a 1990 cadalliac brougham and the doorlock system is a positive type

i was told to just tie the wires in as i would normally do in a  negative system

but then i was also told to use 2 relays and reverse the polarity  so i was a little confused and no one seem to understand what i am saying so if you do please let me know thanks for your time

According to the install manual you can use
Green (+) unlock, Blue (+) lock on the 3 pin harness. No need for relays, unless if the doorlocks are 5 wire or if your installing actuators.
