I have the original Matrix system, about 10 yrs old, installed in a 92 Camaro.  I had a battery short that may have caused a problem with the remote arming, possible damage to the board.  Neither of my remotes work to activate the system or my hatch release.   If I disconnect/reconnect the battery, the alarm sounds and all features work but no remote.  I read thru my install manual and it mentions the remote antenna, I can't seem to find this or is it built into the board?  Also, is there a way to reprogram the remote?  Here is a link to the remote I have......... https://www.autotechs.com/items/item225.htm

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My guess is that you will have to program your Matrix system to recognize your remote... not sure, just a thought.

Do you know the procedure to do that.  I have read about opening doors, flipping the valet switch, etc.  My manuals just states that it is programmed to work when installed.   I do believe that I lost the programming when the battery shorted.  There is no visible damage to the board.

Not sure, but you could probably contact the manufacturer and I'm sure they would tell you.
