Just installed a 996 in a 01 mustang, everything is fine exept that sometimes it goes into theft when remote started and sometimes not, im using a bypasskit.com piece, pkf1 i think, and the directions worked fine, like i said sometimes it trips theft and sometimes not? whats the deal? this piece taps into the data wires, they are correct.

i did a starter on a vehicle and i had the same problem... i found this might not be the same for your application but try locking the doors to activate the factory alarm if equiped. because the bypass system reads the alarm status and if it shows it is not armed it might not start it... let me know if it works for you
