I'm installing an Audiovox Prestige Platinum APS-996A on a 2002 Chevy Avalanche this weekend.  I'm going to use the DEI 457G to make my life a little easier, and I wanted to get any additional "Do's and Don'ts" as I have never installed an R/S on this particular vehicle

I have installed an R/S on the Silverado and Tahoe, and I imagine that they are very similar, but just wanted to get some additional feedback.

Thanks in advance

Just received the 457G today and wanted to verify my understanding of the "ignition harness" that comes with the module.

The spec indicated that I only need the ignition harness for Cadillac or Passkey 3 vehicles.  I just want to confirm that I don't need this harness for this particular installation.

Basically the connection of the violet wire to the Diagnostic plug will serve the purpose of bypassing the Passlock II on this vehicle.  Also noted that the blue/white wire need to be connected to the alarms (-) output wire.
