what do you have to do to wake up the door lock module for a after market alarm remote start to be able to use and after market alarm i know there is a relay most likely  like this

pin 85 unlock wire input.

pin 30 output pos to dome light or door pin

pin 86and 87 pos 12

87a not used. jeff or someone who has done this car before got answers . let me know i am trying to learn this on my own not by deis fax back . i was going to get the fax from dei but it got late and did not feel like finishing it the car was staying in the shop anways for a complete system tomorrow. let me know email me personally

i have not tried anything but i believe that all i have to do is wake up the dome light and since i am unarming the alarm anyways this should be ok well let me know asap.

You can just diode isolate the negative unlock output from the alarm. Connect one of the legs to the unlock wire (of course) and tie the other leg into the Yellow/Black driver's door pin wire at the central security module behind the right side of the dash panel. If you operate the doorlocks, you'll hear the doorlock relays clicking inside of it. Now, keep in mind that this is only the case if the truck came with OEM keyless entry. If it didn't, you have to do a 5 wire (reversal rest at ground). If that's the case, you don't have to wake up the GEM since your relay pack will have constant 12 volts

Try this method, this was from another post earlier in the month.

it does have keyless entry and i will try the diode but i figured relay woulb the the way to go but this should work fine. thanks jeff this is the first 2003 explorer i have done but like i said i did not even atempt anything cause it got late and the car was staying over night anyways  but thanx.
