ALARM: DEI Rattler model 300 w/ two button transmitter

BACKGROUND: Bought the car 3 years ago w/ alarm already installed.  Was never given any manuals or instructions on the alarm only the key pads.

ISSUE: Today I installed an actuator for an automatic trunk pop system, it came with a push button to mount on the inside of the vehicle or it also said it could be hooked up to an existing alarm.

QUESTIONS: (1)Does my alarm have the aux. option to add the trunk lock system? (2)If so what color is the wire on the alarm that I would use? (3) If not what is the second button on my keypad used for because I arm/disarm from button 1.

any help/comments would be welcomed

RED / white wire on alarm brain provides a 200mA negative output whenever buttons I and II are pressed together. Use a relay to drive the solenoid for the trunk release.

First off thank you,  I do see the RED / white wire. Now i'm pretty much lost about how to connect relays and such. can you give it to me step by step? (i follow directions well) what type of relay to use? where do I get one? where do I mount it?

regular good ol' Bosch style 30/40Amp relay. 5 Terminals, available at any car audio shop, car parts centre.

Pin 85- RED / white on alarm
Pin 86- 12V
Pin 30- 12V
Pin 87- Trunk Solenoid

oooh oooh I have an idea.

the relay has 5 pins, i'm only using 4. pin 87b is still open. if I were to say add a trunk light would it activate at the same time as the trunk solenoid? and would it go off when the trunk is closed?
