well i installed tha aps55lra remote start and keyless entry but everything works except the remote start. i dunno if the wiring is incorrect but i do not think so. i have a 96 nissan altima gxe. but the ignition switch harness has 2 wires a black and white which is the starter wire and there is also a yellow and black wire that has 12 volts whilst the engine is cranking and the remote unit has no wires to go to it.

make sure the pinswitch under the hood is making contact with the hood also see if theres a negaitive activation output touch to ground twice see if remote start activates make sure to program tach first. let me know if you have any problems.

hey i ensured the hood pin switch is making contact and i grounded all the wires and the control switch and stuff but whrn i try to program the tach it refuses to go through and the light flashes 7 times indicaTING THAT TACH IS NOT PROGRAMMED.

TACHOMETERgreencoil or ECU center dash

Thats what I found for tach

I think the wires change colors at a plug, and most Nissans have a cold start wire that needs to be used also.
