hey guys, im new to this forum and kind of a newb when it comes to wiring and electrical things

anyways, when i purchased my car in the summer,(92 civic) an alarm (No remote starter) came with the car, but no manual or anything like that, i asked the guy who makes the alarm but he had no clue.  earlier this week, one of my remotes stopped working, (batteries are okay) so i decided to go under the dash, and ended up some how unpugged something by accident, i realized it right away so plugged it back in.  After putting everything back  together my door locks wouldn't unlock, they only locked ( i have door lock Actuators) i also took off the door skins and nothing was blocking the actuators)  I  went to a so called professional but had no idea what the make was therefore couldn't do anything , all he said was i have to re-programm it.... i went to the local mall and they told me the make was Giordon, b/c they were familar with the style of remotes that came with the alarm

One remote is green with four grey buttons and the second remote with white comes attached (like the 2000 VW golfs) a car key that flips open and closed !!

i wanted to post a pic but my pic host is down!!

CAN ANYONE HELP??

looks like one of your connections went loose, make sure that all the connected wires have good contact between them.  also what kind of method was used to hook this alarm inot your car?  T-taps, solder, or any other means?

it looks like the wires were solder together

i have a quick question, there is this single black wire that is coming from the alarm unit  itself  from under my dash that could have possibly gotten loose.

would any know what its for????

Make sure that the black wire is not a ground wire. If the end has frayed strands of copper than it most likely a ground wire and needs to be grounded to the vehicle body. It may be an antenna also though so look at it carefully. If the end is clean and has no copper wire showing it is probably the antenna.

Also, you should use your search to see if any other past poasts may have the info you are looking for.
