i dont know what i did but my alarm no longer chirps when i hit lock/unlock. and the alarm no longer goes of on impact. i havent tried to set it off by opening the door yet. i also noticed that the LED stays solid. it does not blink. any help would be nice.

The alarm is in VALET mode. 2 ways to turn on and off. Open the car door and press left right left on your remote (Left is unlock or button 1. Right is Unlock or button 2) The other way is: car door open, ignition key to run position then off then quickly press the valet/override button. This is a common problem with the DEI (Viper, Sidewinder, etc) alarms. Owner's manual explains everything.

You may have activated the valet switch. Try switching ignition key on, then off and push valet switch the number of times as it was programmed.
