I'm installing Autopage RF-410 in a 2002 Blazer. My installation is pretty much comlete and working, except I can't figure out what to do for the 2 step lock. The wiring diagram indicates it's the pink wire from the 9-pin connector; and a relay must be used. OK,... But what does the relay connect to? The white unlock wire at the BCM, together with the violet unlock wire at the BCM? Or directly to the unlock switch in the door? Or???
Thanks for your help!
Does your Autopage unit have two separate unlock outputs? If so, the second output goes to the Blazer's white unlock wire.
The FIRST unlock output from the Autopage will trigger a relay, which should be interfaced to the appropriate wire that goes to the motor in the driver's door. This wire should be tan, according to DEI's Techsoft. And the relay should be wired up as a "5-wire" a.k.a. "reversing polarity" setup, which can be found elsewhere on this website.
Thanks, Chris. Pretty much what I was thinking. I assume I get behind the door panel to get to the tan wire...
Another question: Everything seemed to be working as it should, but I now find that after the alarm has been armed for about 20 minutes, it goes off by itself.. I re-arm, and it goes on after about 2 minutes, and it will do this continually until I turn on the ignition. Then the cycle repeats: 20 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 minutes, etc. I have the trigger wires isolated with diodes (cathode towards the factory wires). The alarm's LED blinks 3 times, then pauses. According to the book this indicates "Trigger on door switch." Any ideas?
TIA
you should be able to get it as it goes to door jam boot . is it a blazer or a trailblazer??? a trailblazer you will need to get in the door otherwise the old bodystyle blazer in the kickpanel.
