if your venture is a 2003 or newer it has passlock 3 and all you should use is the key in the box bypass i mean they do make a wire or transponder type bypass, but the theft light sometimes comes on even while driving,  not that anything is wrong but some of my customers just seem to think something is wrong with thier brand new van just cause of that light.  so key in the box is best, it's cheap only about 20 dollars, no lights come on and you can even by uncut programmed keys for about 45 dollars, so you don't have to worry about having a cut key under the dash ready to be ripped out of the box and stuck in the ignition for theft purposes. so get yourself dei's 555u, or autotran's transponder bypass kit they're both key in box kits and both work exceptionally well, never a problem.  if your van is older it'll either have passlock 1 or 2 and dei's 555l is the best for passlock 1 or 2
