I am trying to install the Mopar remote start on a 2005 Chrysler 300 with a 2.7L engine.  For the tach signal, it says to go into the wire on an ignition coil on the engine.  After looking through the service manual, it appears that I need to remove the upper intake manifold in order to get to this.  Is this correct?  Or is there another easier/quicker way?

Thanks!!!!
Kevin

Nevermind.... I feel a bit dumb now!  I've never had a "newer" car before, and I didn't realize there was an ignition coil for every cylinder... and no spark plug wires on this car either!  Interesting.  I found this out by looking at the wiring diagrams better.  After looking at the car again, I can't get to the wire the instructions recommend (DB/YL) because that one IS under the intake manifold.  However, there are three other ignition coils on the other side that are all easy to get to.  From looking at wiring directions on this car at Bulldog Security's site, it doesn't matter which coil you go into, so long as you don't use the BR/YL wire, which appears to be ground on all coils.posted_image
