Hi.  I installed a Viper 350hv in a 97 VW gti.  Everything works fine except for the fact the button to lock and unlock the doors inside the vehicle will only lock the doors but not unlock the doors.  I noticed that when i lock the doors with the button inside the car, the factory alarm arms.  How do I get the factory button to lock and unlock the car?  Thanks

I forgot to note that the unlock doesn't work when the key is on.  But when the key isn't on, everything works properly.

Where did you tap the unlock wire ? Color ? Did the unlock work prior to the installation ?

I tagged the green and a grey wire for lock and unlock.  It was on the drivers side kick panel

unlock requires a double pulse unlock

It requires a double pulse for the unlock to work from the factory button inside the car while the key is in?

Vw's need a double pulse unlock on the unlock wire. First pulse disarms factory alarm second unlock door. Change the unlock option on the alarm to double pulse.

Okay.  I changed the pulse from single to double pulse.  The factory button inside the car still will not unlock the doors when the key is on.  Any other suggestions

Should I disable ignition controlled door locks.  Cause it seems that when the doors lock, the factory alarm is enabled.

yes, most definitely disable your ignition controlled door locks. i'm surprised that you could start your car with your key at all if you have ignition controlled door locks turned on. once the factory alarm is on, the factory starter kill should also be active.
