Ok my dad has a 98 camaro and he tried to install my old clifford concept 200 alarm on it. I had relays on my blazer and he didnt put relays on the camaro. The clifford alarm can be + or - out for the door unlocking. everything works except for when you unarm it it wont unlock the doors.unless you arm it then unarm it within 30 sec then it will unlock the doors. he has the wires hooked up on the passenger side where the go under the dash. I told him that he needed to tap into the wires at the motor. my question is does he have to put relays on it or not.

From what you described, it sounds like you may need to wake up the BCM to unlock the doors by supplying a negative pulse to the (-) door trigger while unlocking, but I don't beleive this was present until 2000...  compare what you have with the following links and let us know what you find:
