I have a compustar alarm and remote start that works great when it is cold out, but when it is warmer out and in particular sunny out my alarm doesn't seem to respond to the remote anymore. I have been messing around with what it could be and when I turn on the AC and get it cold in my car it starts to work again. Does anyone have any ideas what could be done to fix this? Any help would be much apreciated since it is getting warmer out and pretty soon I am worried it will not ever work for me. Thanks

I have tried a new remote in order to see if that was the problem and the same thing happens. I am thinking that it has to be the antenna, does anyone know what I could do to fix this problem or where I could purchase a new antenna for a compustar 2WSSR. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks to all!

Sounds like yu should try to replace the antenna. Is the unit over a year old ? Try to bring it back to the shop that you got it from for warranty. Shouldn't be a problem if it's less than a year old.

When I bought the car it already had the alarm installed in it and they never said anything about the alarm, so I thought it would work fine. I have installed several alarms before so I was just trying to get this one working so that I don't have to buy another one for it. Does anyone know where I could get another antenna from since I don't know what shop installed it. Thanks for all the help!

I looked on the antenna and it says SS-2W-911, then FCC ID: N99SSTM, on the other side it has FSS 0016432. I checked the brain and it is a CM3000, so I hope that these are compatible, but also am frustrated since it only works in the cold weather and it is getting warmer every day. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it and don't know any where else that I can get help. Thanks again, especially to Jeff aka Velocity Motors!!

Does anyone know if this is the correct antenna? I just don't know why anyone would have the unit installed with the wrong antenna. Anyone with some experince with compustar? Please help! Thanks in advance!

This is the ocrrect antenna for the system. Try removing the wiring for the antenna and have it just lying outin the open without it being run along the frame of the vehicle.

The same thing happens as before, I am pretty sure that my antenna is defective. Does anyone know what I can do? Does anyone know where I can buy a new antenna for a Compustar 2WSS-AS system? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks to all!
