Im installin a DEI remote start with the 555L paslock module. My problem is that when the truck is started by remote, it starts and dies. any ideas? I hooked up the Yellow to passlock wire ign. side(yellow), Black w / YELLOW to passlock BCM side (yellow), Black to orange w/ black. any suggestions pls.

If that is not working U can measure the resistance across the yellow wire  & add a relay and the right resistance.

make sure you have the correct yellow wire, there are 2 of them in that harness....3 if you include the starter wire, chances are you either have the wrong wire, haven't powered up the 2nd ignition or the ground while running is not working on the output of the remote starter.

I have the right yellow wire cuz when I cut it the truck wouldn't run w/key. But if its hooked up it runsw/key. I have the second ing powered up.

I would try grounding the 555l black wire to the kick panel instead of the ORANGE / black, sometimes the ref. ground is not strong enough for the  555l .

Also are are you using tach or voltage. If the security light is not on when it dies its probally your tach signal.

Just wondering, did you program the 555L, start the car with the key for at least 5 seconds?

You can try replacing the 555L or do what audioChief wrote, I've added a link for a diagram:

You hooked your Red to constant +12v Red in the main harness, Pink to the Pink Ignition in the main harness, and Blue/Black to the status (-) ground out when running from the remote starter correct?
