i want to know if anyone out there has been able to install doorlock actuators in a 05 colorado. it has cable locks, instead of the traditional rods that you would use to attach the DLA to. does anyone know if someone makes anything for this vehicle

I have done a few of these and once you get it down it is pretty simple.
The first 1 is always the hardest

Done one for the first time on Friday. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it turned out pretty good once you were able to attach the rod to the plastic rocker arm. What I did was after  removing the door panel & the plastic from the door, I found the rocker arm right beside the actual door lock mechanism by the latch ( not the latch by the handle, opposite end of the hinges ). There you will find a white plastic rocker arm for the lock/unlock switch.

Look hard for a small hole on this rocker arm ( you will only be able to see it if you lock and unlock the door because it disappears when you lock/unlock the door behind the rod. Once you find this hole take the rod that comes with the actuator and remove about 2/3 of the length and bend the end of it 90 degrees. Pass the rod through the actuator and then take the 90 degree angle and insert this into the hole on the rocker arm. The actuator will sit 90 degrees from the rocker arm and when actuated, the direction of the actuator should move up & down as will the rocker arm. Drill a small hole near the mounting holes are for the actuators and secure the actuators tot he inside of the door.

Sorry no pics because it was hard for me to even get my hands in there let alone a camera to take pics of the installation.
