you wont need to go into the door for the locks. and it will also turn off the factory alarm if you have one.

Are the wires to and from this DEI module color coded to match fac colors and GM alarm harness(on vsc3000)?Do I have to still tap in to the domelight supervision output on alarm module even though I connected DEI module to this circuit already? Thanx___

the only wire you need to hook upto the car is the violet to the back of the diagnostic plug ,power, ground and your lock&unlock inputs dont use the domelight thru it it falses go directly to the light and use positive input to the alarm.

a p.s. on previous post I did notice that when I use remote to lock doors the domelight circuit comes on for aprox 30 seconds then shuts off and when I use unlock the domelight does not come on at all(is this backwards or what)????

Connect the GRAY/BLACK wire from the DEI unit to the GRAY / BLACK wire on the underdash light. This light is not affected by the dome light delay.
