Ok I have a 2000 Audi S4 with some difficulties.  I installed a Viper 791 XV on it.

I installed it so when I lock the car the windows will close, and my auxilary button to open all my windows when i hold it down.  I hooked the disarm defeat wire up to the lock wire as well.  Everything else pretty much standard wire to wire.

The problem arises when, I remote start the car the front door unlocks.  When I hit the look button it does not do anything while remote started, however if hit the unlock button it will go down then back up twice.

A solution I have (kind of a hack way): Disconnect the factory siren and take off the disarm defeat wire, so when I remote start it the factory alarm will go off but only the parking lights will blink fastly.

Does anyone have any solutions that I do not have to use my solution? I am at a loss of what else to do.

Use the disarm output on the unlock wire to disarm before remote start. Use the negative start output to relock the door when it cranks during remote start. Remember to diode isolate the start wire so that the starter dosen't crank when you lock the doors. (band towards the brain)

You don;t need a disarm defeat.

Did you do your connections in the door?

Ahhh yes I did go as far as hooking that wire up, but it would try to start every time I locked my door!  My brain was working but I didn't htink about diode isolating it!

As far as the connections, I did them in the kick panel..SHould I go to the lock/unlock switch in the door and run wires?  Thats what I am thinking I need to do.
