I'm doing a remote start on an 03 Chevy Silverado and got a question.. The parking light wire is gray/black at the swtich. I go to the switch and find 2 gray/black wires. What should the correct wire test at?
Thanks
Nevermind.. Found it at the brown plug in the bcm..
dont use the wire at the switch. use the gray/black at the pcm under the driver side dash this wire is neg. trigger

turn us on
I've finished up the install on the Silverado and just have a few questions..
When I hit unlock the parking lights blink twice and the daytime running lights / back lights come on for 25 seconds then go off.
When I hit lock the parking lights don't blink at all (which they usually blink once).
When I remote start it the parking lights come on as they should. When I stop the vehicle (via the remote) the lights go off and the horn honks once.
Does all this sound normal?
Also, I don't know if this is a security feature or something but when I remote started it the first time and then stopped it via the remote both doors were open.. A few minutes passed and the horn started honking. I don't know if this was because both the doors were open and it was sorta like a reminder to close them or what.
I locked the doors via the keyfob, waited five-ten minutes and it started successfully with no honk. I just want to make sure all this sounds right.
Thanks
Also, the parking light wire tests 12v postive with the lights OFF and 0V with the lights on??
Is the parking light output from your remote start putting out a (-) or (+) signal? It should be (-).
Did you use a databus doorlock interface? If so, which model? If you didn't, did you connect to the factory alarm disarm wire in the drivers door?
