I have a compustar cm3000 brain. Has a total of 3 aux channels, 2 for anything, and one for trunk. I have the aux 1 hooked up to drivers door popper, aux 2 hooked up for pass door popper, and the trunk signal for trunk popper. I am thinking about getting a 530t to control the windows. here is where I am wondering what my options are. I know the UP wire will go to the status wire when armed,or the lock wire?? What are my options with the roll down, I dont want to have my windows roll down everytime i pop open my door. Ive heard of a channel expander but have never seen one anywhere. So what are my options or is impossible because i have already used the aux output?

the channel expander is from dei the product number is 450t and yes it will do what you want. It uses 1 aux out from your alarm and uses this to toggle between 6 more aux channels, The aux channel on your alarm has to be validity which means it will only output for as long as you hold the button down because each pulse activates a different channel e.g. if you press aux 1 4 times it operates the 4th channel on the expander which is audibly confirmed by 4 chirps of the siren hope this helps

Compustar has their own channel expander. I have never used it personally, but you might need Compustar's programmer to do it. Give them a call at 888-820-3690.

Has anyone used the compustar channel expander?

The channel expander can be programmed without the programmer. It has instructions with the unit and also has the option programmable from the CM3000 install manual.

I called compustar about the channel expander, and they said they are on backorder until next Wed 3/23. I didn't see any online on Ebay. They're only like $30, check to see if your local authorized Compustar dealer has one in stock. Compustar's website is www.compustar.org
