Ijust installed A code alarm ca-640 remote starter in my 04 f-250 6.0 diesel when i use tach mode it will shutdown at varying times (30sec to 2.0min) i know the tach wire is working because when i rev the motor it will quit like it is supposed to. If i put on blind crank it works just fine. anyone had this problem?       any suggestions? thanks.

code remote starts are funny like that some times i have done two or 3 f250 1 gas 2 diesel.one diesel i ran it tach and itworked fine, the other i had to run tachless both worked fine. so i wouldn't worry about it unless it gives you problems when it is verry cold and it sits over night

You either need to try learning the tach at a different RPM, or get their CTO (clean tach output) tach booster module and add that.

I also have had wierd problems like that with the ford diesels. Never did find out what the problem was, but switched it over to voltage sensing and it worked fine.
