I am in the middle of an install which I started last weekend. I am in a learning mode, and have been reading this forum, my instruction manuals and guides almost non-stop since I started.

Well, since Saturday night I have been dreaming about wires, wire colors, and where they attach! Its very odd. Its frustrating enough that I have to figure this stuff out when Im awake, but to ponder and try to come to an understanding of this while I sleep is to much! Even scarier, is that when I wake up, I feel like I actually have come to a better understanding of how things work in regards to my alarm and car.

Anyone else have any similar experiences?

Steve

It must be different for me since I have a desk job at an insurance company and installing this alarms is just a personal challenge.   I dislike paying others to do what I can do for myself. (I just sold my own house in CA, saving me about $10,000 in commission.) I enjoy the challenge of installing this alarm and love to learn how things work. I guess it's like mountain climbing or something...

I think might have problems posted_image posted_image

Of course this site, and its great members make it possible for DIY'ers like myself to even attempt such complicated installs. Thanks All!

I'm an installer for CCity and this past x-mas rush I had the same problem I would go home after doing 4 to 5 remote starts per day and dream about them. This went on for 2 weeks. I'm just glad the rush is over.

That's how the brain works. With new ideas and foreign concepts to grasp dreaming about it is a way of allowing you to practice what you learned and storing it in memories for quick retrieval. Don’t worry, once you learned how. You will stop dreaming about it.

My customer makes me dream about wires once in a while. posted_image They often will call me up and tell me that their remote starter or Alarm does not work anymore.    I will daydream about during lunch thinking what have missed when I was doing the install. Its always turn out that 99.9 % of the time that the customer have lock themselves out by entering valet mode.
