I have a viper 500pc hf, my question is what are the button 3 and button 4 used? I bought a DEI channel expander but am stumped on how to install it, the instructions are very limited. I would like to run my two rear doors off of channels 3 and 4 "shaved door handles" the front two work by pressing button 2 for the driver side and buttons 1 and 2 together for the passenger, I hooked those up easy enough but am having trouble with the rest...........Any help is appreciated...Thank You

did the alarm come with 4 button remotes?  I think that is only a 3 channel alarm.

Wired, the alarm came with a four button remote but all the paperwork that came with it says it only has two channels, thats why i bought the channel expander. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

Program your remotes to a single button config. The channel one will be used for arm and disarm. Channel two can be used for passenger door, reason being is because channel two you will have to hold it for a few seconds before it activates that channel. Then channel three would be use for sounding the alarm. Channel four I would use for my driver door popper because as soon as you touch channel four it activates. Hope this helps you out.
