some one help please, im in the middle of an install and need to check the actuators on the door locks to see if they work. how can i do this without damaging them if they do work. thank in advance.

Are these factory installed actuators or aftermarket actuators? What vehicle are these in? Typically the actuators will have two wires going to each, however some may have more. If they have two wires going to each, at each actuator, disconnect the leads going into the vehicle and connect 12V+ to one lead of the actuator and momentarily connect ground to the other, the actuator should move in one direction (lock or unlock). Reverse polarity to move in the other direction.

Let us know what you have and what you find.

after market, installed them hooked up the relays and nothing happens. i can hear the relays click but the actuator does not move at all .thank you for you reply.

aftermarket...sounds like you did not wire 87a of both relays to ground or you totally miswired the relays.

got them working, it was the plug that goes into the alarm that didnt match the relays. thanks everyone.
