if it doesnt, just set a relay to do a negative pulse to the disarm wire with the unlock wire

theres a disarm wire on that unit but i think you have to program it to disarm... at default, it serves another purpose.

its blue/black in a white four pin connector, you dont have to program anything to make it work.

Hey
I used the Auxilliary Output BLACK/ BLUE ~ pulse before start.
Is this the correct wire, in the RF Programmable Features I programed it;
7th BLACK/ Blue (Aux O/P) AS feature #1.
(1st Door L/UL 1 sec L, Dbl. U/L)
11th Two Step unlock ON
Did I connect the right wire, and program it right? My car is a VW JETTA 98, and it has the factory alarm, it needs a duable pulse to unlock. I dont know why but I can lock, unlock and it works fine. Everything works except the auto start.

I think VW disarms with unlock.

a single pulse to the unlock wire will disarm the factory alarm. what happens when you try to remote start it? does it crank at least?

K I put that BLACK/ Blue wire to the unlock wire of the car. When I try to auto start it it shows the lights on the LCD remote and when I am inside the car, you could hear the alarm box clicking like a clock

Something else wrong. You probably have to set the tach. You must hook up the GREEN/ org. wire to one of the ingector wires then program tach before the car will start. Try this out first then take to the next step. If you have the manual it shows how to program it in there.

I cant believe all the bad advice this site posts sometimes meltingplastic: if it doesnt, just set a relay to do a negative pulse to the disarm wire with the unlock wire?????????????????

profuse007: theres a disarm wire on that unit but i think you have to program it to disarm... at default, it serves another purpose???????????

Not to bash anyone but whats goin on here. Regular people are asking questions and it seems like all they get is crazy 'i think' answers
mxxmikexx is the only one that knows what he is talking about! Single pulse to unlock wire will disarm the factory alarm

I dont know why but right now I can not find the tech wire, I will find it and connect it within this week, anyway there is a way to make it work without tach. ON page 18 there is a remote start selected features on my vw jetta 98 I changed the
feature #4 Input check to voltage
feature #5 voltage level <0.5V B4 Start.
Now the car starts and everything but the factory alarm goes off for about 2 sec. I think it is when it cranks,
so now do I connect the BLACK / YELLOW pilse duing crank to the same wire? I my car the factory alarm is unlock (double pulse). After the car starts it stays on and works perfectly, but I dont want to wake up people in the middle of the night when my car is in the driveway.

Did you hook up the BLACK/ blue wire from the 4 pin harness straight to your unlock wire?

K I found the solution for my problem,

The BLACK/ blue wire goes to the unlock door wire of the car, but since VW has a negative door pulse that turns positive and the alarm sends a nother negative pulse (this does not disarm the alarm) You have to put a realay on the BLACK/ blue wire to convert the negative to a positive signal. once you do this the factory alarm in VW will be disarmed and you alarm will work fine
