Doors lock, then unlock themselves?

Anyone ever see an issue where after arming a system, the doors will lock, then will unlock themselves? I can here the relays in the alarm clicking over, I just cant figure out whats causing them to relock the doors.

Before soldering, it worked fine. I also did not hook up the oem keyless bypass wires from my door module, but I didnt the first time either. This is on a 2005 Tahoe with a Nitro alarm.

Any ideas?

In my above post, I meant to say I cant figure out whats causing the relays to UNlock the doors, not relock.

Are any of the doors open? Is there any wire pinched involving the door pins/door trigger? If the car thinks the doors are open then the car will unlock the doors automatically.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

No doors are open, and I have even waited for the dome lights to turn off until I arm. My 2-way indicator shows the status of the doors properly, so thats seems to working.

If I do get any solid leads here, Im just going to unistall and reinstall each wire and see if I can isolate a problem.

Figured out my problem. This alarms remotes has a feature where it senses proximity to the main unit. When the remote is within a few feet, it will unlock the doors. Well, the 2nd remote, which was in the box had this feature engaged, and thats why the alarm kept unlocking itself. I figured this out after I unhooked the system, and this 2nd unit beeped that it lost contact with the main unit. Neat feature though.

The alarm is called a Nitro. Its an ebay, flea market deal. I dont think I would recommend this unit though, even though it costs less then $100. The price seems good for a 2-way system (with 2 two-way remotes), but the lack of advanced features (like user controlled settings) hurt it.

Also the manual is written in pigeon english and makes very little sense. I still need to install the remote start when I get my bypass kit, and that is going to be a bit tricky with the lack of instructions.

The proximity thing works good when walking away, but when you return, about 50% of the time I have to wait by the door for 30 seconds for it to "sense" Im there, so end up just hitting the button. The sense way is the only way Im able to use the alarm, because in passive mode, it shirps about 10 times during its 30 second arming period. ANNOYING!!! And like I said, there are no settings to modify, so Im stuck.

I would recommend the Commando 870. For about $160, you get all the bells and whistles, a good company, and nice instructions.

Wish my alarm had that auto-unlock feature.  I learned the hard way, had the remote in the car and it automatically armed itself with the key/remote inside.  I had to go hunt down my spare key, open the door manually (alarm going off at this point) and get the remote to turn it off!!
