Has anyone installed an aftermarket security system in a 2000 Subaru Legacy wagon? I wanted to see if there were any gotcha's out there.< =text/>>

Very basic for alarm installation. Nothing fancy or note worthy for this vehicle.

actually I do have a question now. I am installing a Hi-Tech HT-455:
so far I have the following working:
- keyless entry
- led
- valet mode
- shock sensor
Installed, but not sure if it works correctly:
alarm kicks on:
- I can still start the car. Remove the relay, and the car does not start
- siren is not audible unless I turn the key in the ignition.
the only wires I do not have connected yet are:
- door switch, I think it is supposed to be negative
- main light (what's this for?)
- foot brake (what's this for?)
- Hazard lights
- Open dormer (what's this for?)
- Engine cap (what's this for?)
can someone please help me out?< =text/>>
