I decided to try my hand at a remote start using relays because it will not be used very often, and I like a good challenge.  Well it has turned out to be a big challenge that has racked my brain.  I've attached the relay diagram I used.  My problem is that once it starts it only turns off using the deactivate trigger I have wired (represented as lock on the diagram).  This is the case for when I use the key to start it too.  I know it is because the once started the relay still supplys power to the ignition wires, after the key has been turned off.  How can I correct this?  I would also like to know how to connect the accessory wire (orange - 96 Chevy Lumina) that controls the heater and AC so it will run when remote started?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Has anybody tried the relay diagram for a remote start that is in the special relays section?  Does it work properly, or will it have the same problem as mine?  And I still can't get the upload of my diagram to work sorry.  You might be able to help with that too.  I get the please be patient window, click ok and then it does nothing.

If I used this setup to take the (-) pulse for the start to activate the second realy to stay on for the ignition power, how would I use a second (-) pulse to deactivate the second relay?
