I'm trying to install 2 530t window module on my 93 acura legend sedan.....but i'm just wondering where is the best mounting place for the 2 modules....in the instruction booklet it says NOT to install the modules in the door due to water leak and it might damage the modules.....and they recommended that we install it in the kick panels.....but i have no space what so ever in the kick panels....so where is the best spot?????any advice will be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance....

You can mount them anywhere you would like, but inside the door. In the kickpanel, under the seat, under the dash, behind the instrument cluster, against the firewall, etc... Basicaly if you have enough wire of the correct gauge you can put them in the trunk if you wanted.

I mounted BOTH of mine for all four windows in the driver's side kick panel.  Didn't think that they'd fit, but I was able to situate them in such a way that it worked.

If you absolutely cannot fit them in the kick panel I'd try to mount them somewhere above the kick panel.  Unless you absolutely have to run wires to each door, it will be MUCH easier to mount as close to the driver's door as possible so that you can run all your wires into the driver's door.

I guess a good backup plan would be under the dash, if you have room next to the alarm brain, or under the driver's seat.  Kick panel, in my opinion is, by far, the best location though.  It's just too bad that you can't usually patch into the wires in the kick panel.  I've almost always had to run wires into the door.  Those door grommits can be a bear.

Good luck though!

Actually, I'd think from your location description that may be as ideal a location as the kick panels.  I mean, if you mount in the kick panel and have to run the wires back to the rear door grommits, that's not any worse that mounting at your B pillar and running the front door wires up through the kick panel and into the door.

I had never thought of mounting the window units there before, but I think this is a good idea.

thanks for the advice......i think that is a very good idea....i'll probably mount both of the module in the driver side pillar....ok another question would be can i run all the needed wires from both modules to the driver door only....or is it necessary for me to run the wires for each window into each of the doors?.....from the driver side i have the main window panel which has all four of the switches on it and i'm able to control them all from my driver seat....please any advice would be grealty appreciated...cuz i'm new to installin window modules........thanks in advance....

welll in my 98 honda accord 4 door i had to run the wires from each door inside don't really know about the acura legend but try to hook up 1 of the modules at the drivers switch see if it works then u can try to see if u see the wire colors there for the rest of the doors the way i did was i put 1 module for the left side and 1 for the right side 1 in each post so i don't have to run the window wires from the right side to the left side too many wires running around u know lol the only thing it took me along time was runing the wires inside the car kinda sucks runing then inside the boot. but after your done u have a nice job no wires hanging here or there everything is neat! hope that helped u hit me back
