Darrel,

I have installed quite a few brands of remote starters including the designtech brand.  The 20092 is an ok starter, but it is definitely not my favorite.  Range is limited as compared to other units and not as user friendly as a lot of other quality units on the market.  If you are talking about an older vehicle with out any type of security or immobilization system, it will probably be just fine.  But, if you are using it on a newer vehicle, I would probably not recommend it.  If you are going to use it anyway, make sure you get a different bypass unit as the universal one that they try to tell you works with everything is junk.  I had a friend that insisted that this was supposed to be such a good unit and the bypass was supposed to work...after all was said and done, I took it out and put in an Astrostart.  He was much, much happier.
