I've got the aftermarket door lock actuators. they seem quite powerful, but they also tend to make a little loud noise when activated.

some factory ones are pretty quiet, not sure what motor they use for the power lock.

can you make these aftermarket actuators to run quiter/smooth? maybe by reducing the voltage?

There are some new " smoother " actuating actuators out on the market. We have some that are quite noticably quieter that what we sold before as well as the motion is alot smoother as well. You may have to check around to see where you can pick some up but aside from that, it's a mechanical device and lowering the voltage will do nothing for the sound deadening.

The whole second at a time it is being used is actually enough to bother you?

if you got used to a bmw factory power lock, you would too.

Velocity Motors, do you have any info on these quiter ones? looking for part number, where to get them etc.
