has anybody had to worry about the resistance of the 4001 diodge on a single wire pulse door lock system on a dodge ram pickup when using it between the alarm module and the resistors.

Why would you use a diode for this???

On the designtech 20092 system the two wires that control the unlock/lock pulse the diodes are used to block the power from these wires from going into the dodge wires, but allow the grounding of the dodge wires thro the module to ground.

I still don't understand why you need diodes for this? You are supposed to use relays when integrating into 1 wire lock systems and the relays isolate the alarm from the car.

Diode is not necessary for your application.
This is the way to do a single wire door lock. Sometime you have to play around with the resistor to get it working correctly.
How to wire up single wire door lock & unlock system------------- Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.
