can anybody help. I have a customer with a 2001 chevrolet blazer RHD imported to the UK from canada. The oem immobiliser appears to have an intermittent fault. the security light and remote alarm/locking are working as they should, but it wont turn over every time , i have checked the starter motor & circuit and have concluded that it is the immobiliser at fault.I have been told by an ECU specilist that it is possible to bypass the ECU immobiliser and connect it to the BCU ?as i do not normally deal with OEM security systems i dont know how to do this or if it is possible. The customer would prefer to keep the OEM immobiliser if possible.

Do you know what kind of Immobilizer system is in the vehicle now ? You can try one of the databus modules instead of the resistor based ones and see if this method is more consistent.

i believe this vehicle has databus immobilisation (when checking the alarm control unit i could only find a digital pulsed signal output to the vehicles ECU/BCU)
