Is it necessary to connect the second igniton wire on an alram/remote start unit to a 98 Dodge Ram, someone posted to my other question that it is unnecessary but Ive red other posts on here that it is important to connect it in other vehicle or the check engine light might come on and the auto trans might not work properly?

DEI shows a second ACCS. not IGN. This is the same information I have on my astroflex tech support. -------------

and the second accessory would be used for what? then the second ignition of the alarm/remote start unit stays disconnected? also any idea why the siren output would stop working as in no voltage response at all from the lead to the alarm unit, lights still flash but siren doesnt work, and siren is good, checked with 12v. thanks

i could understand the ground being bad would cause the siren not to operate but i dont get a response with a test light or volt meter. but if i test the parking light wire the light blinks and i see voltage, leads me to believe the internal relay crapped out?
