I am having trouble with the input wires on a Pursuit Pro 9231 for a Mitsubishi Lancer '02. In the manual, it says to hook the disarm input1 wire (red) to the cars unlock wire that is light green. Then to hook the arm input (green) to the car's lock wire which is purple.

But what the heck do I do w/ the disarm input2 wire that is RED / black? Someone told me to wire to constant ground. But the alarm still won't disarm or arm. However, it does when I lock/unlock the car from the door panel.  Are these wires coming directly from the switch, or am I at the wrong wires. I need the wires that are energized with the factory keyless entry remote.  Where are they? To test them, should I use a test lamp and see if it flickers on then off when I unlock/lock the car?

Please, someone help!!!!

this is what you need 2 do .

Green from alarm goes to:  Motor wire that pulses positve when you lock it with switch or remote. It rest at ground.

Red from alarm goes to: Motor wire that pulses positve when you unlock it with switch or remote.

RED / Black from alarm goes to: : Motor wire that pulses positve when you hit the unlock on the remote twice.

Lock your car with remote. Then hit the unlock button on remote and within 3 seconds hit the unlock again. This is when the motor wire for 2nd disarm (RED / black) will pulse. You will find 2 wires that will pulse positive when you test with switch.  Only one will pulse when you hit the remote onlock twice.(within 3 sec time frame) It is very important that you test it this way.  Another hint hook up your alarm inputs first then everything else.  Good luck let me know what happens.

SCSS-  Are you sure that this car pulses positive?  I thought it pulses negative (negative input).  Also, the car arms/disarms when I lock/unlock the car from the doors switch; but it does not arm/disarm w/ the remote.  There must be a different set of wires energized from the remote only.  But I can't find them.  How would i test it w/ a test light for negative door locks when energized?  Or if in fact, if the doors are actually positive input while resting at ground, how would I test it w/ a test lamp? 

Also, isn't the RED / black (2nd disarm wire) unnecessary for the installation since I simply want the car to unlock when I push the remote button once?  If so, where do I hook this wire to?  So, technically, I need to find the ONE wire that is energized when I unlock just the driver's door.  I want the car to disarm when i push the remote unlock button once, using the priority door unlock feature. 

Any suggestions?
