I'm planning on doing a viper 550 on a 2005 nissan titan and was wondering if there is a transponder on this, if so how to bypass it. I read somewhere that just by unlocking it will turn it off but does it not have a chip(resistor) in the key? Thanks for the help everyone!

The online DEI info doesnt show a bypass module as necessary but the download directwire says either a 556U or a 555U. I would be surprised if it didnt require a module.

It requires a universal bypass module for the Immobilizer system in the key. Unlock will disarm OEMalarm but not disable Immobilizer.

The 556U does require a key, DEI lists 2 other bypass modules the 555U and the 555H but i do not see either of them in the latest catalog. Bypasskitsdotcom may have something that doesnt require a key. I would check there also.
